WOMEN'S Final: Slice vs. Dropshot

Post by Grossefavourite » Jun Sat 08, 2019 8:30 am

This final will be very dull. If Barty fails to win, she'll never win a GS.

IMO, a really good match, considering the insane wind conditions... so Barty wins RG within 3 months after winning Miami.. two massive titles on different surfaces. She now is a contender in every major event.

Well done!

Vondrousova is not ready for the big stage. She's just another top-100 player. There is nothing in her game to bother Barty. Her lefty forehand cross-court was simply neutralized by Barty's backhand slice.
There was no competition, no suspense, no intensity, ... just a normal Kuala Lumpur match.
Congrat Barty for seizing her opportunity and making the most of it.

Anisimova would've won. So close....

Agree. Vondrousova would have lost against Anisimova. She is just a consistent top-100. Maybe top-52.
