Alex D., a truly great player and fun to watch, is leaving the game at age 32 (too soon) due to not being able to recover from a couple of wrist surgeries that were unable to relieve him of pain. Always enjoyed his matches as did many others for he always drew appreciative nice crowds. Didn't accomplish much due to the dominance of the Big 3, but he kept things interesting, nevertheless. He will be duly missed. All the Best to "the Dog".

Alexandr Dolgopolov RetiresRe: Alexandr Dolgopolov RetiresRoger offering his best wishes to "the Dog". In response, Alex is astonished at the outpouring of sentiments of appreciation that he brought to many by his talent and game. He should have known, imo, by the crowds he attracted to his matches, for they were always well-attended. He was just a joy to watch, worth the price of admission and gifted. |
