Because I learned from my older siblings, I started kindergarten a year earlier than I was suppose to, so everyone was always two years older. Well, Mommy took us school shopping and I got new clothes, shoes and sneakers. The night before school I wanted to try them on again, but Dad told me not to put my new shoes on. So I put my new sneakers on and asked him to tie them for me ~ He popped me  and said: "I told you not to put your new shoes on"!!

I was so upset I ran to Mommy and jumped in her lap ... She said what did you do?? I said: Dad told me not to put my shoes on, so I put my new sneakers on!!

She rocked me until I calmed down, but I didn't speak to Dad for about a year  I was three and remember it like it was yesterday!! I was so upset with him ... I watched him closely after that (quiet and still). I'm very precise (he knew I'd be a scientist, lol) 8)

I'm a trip :P

I lost an Uncle after MLK Jr was assasinated in 1968; the eldest was killed in police custody on my 7th birthday ... Tanks rolled in (chewed up the streets; loudest sound I ever heard)!!

Daada told us to "Get down"!!

SSSSCARY

The next eldest Uncle tried to rescue him but was captured and beat to a pulp in police custody ~ Family had to damn near burn down the police station to get him medical attention!! Then they pinned a murder charge on him for killing a cop!!! He did 25 years in prison (I was a nosey kid and heard them crying when the guilty verdict came in). We visited him in prison every Sunday. He's been home 20+ years now, partied with him last night (super fine ... way cuter than I; My son looks like him) :)

Then my eldest brother (reason for this thread) died in police custody :( :( :(

HURTS

BLACK LIVES MATTER

Talk to me enough, and I'll be able to feel you, like soundwaves ~ I'm weird, I know 8)

I'll concentrate on you, lol lol lol.

Dare ME ...

LOL!!

I remember that back-to-school story every time kids are about to return to school; never forgave Dad for that :P I was right!! Engineers still get on my nerves and I worked with a whole department of them in early 1990's doing Environmental and Construction contracts for Procurement (building factories and labs). They think they're smart, but they are not, lol, a running dispute between Scientists and Engineers

BTW, I helped to build factories in Puerto Rico, Ireland, Switzerland and India 8) Merck didn't want to pay those bills either, each over $500M, and one A/E firm walked off ALL jobs, LMAO!! They were a mess, and don't forget that story I told ya'll about them, and don't take their developing vaccine for Covid19  NOPE!!
